The second largest city in Cyprus, Limassol is also the biggest Cypriot port - in fact it has two ports, the Old Port (fishing) and the New Port (commercial and passenger ships). It has its fair share of beaches to enjoy, making this a great destination for many tourist requirements, of all ages.

Watersports from scuba diving to jet-skiing are available, but you can choose to relax on a boat trip if you prefer.

There is a zoo in the city too, the only zoo on the island, so could be a day trip for the children if you want to get them away from the water!

As the main wine making area of Cyprus, you can enjoy the local product at its finest, especially during the annual wine festival in September!

Nightlife in this part of Cyprus is particularly lively, being historically the Greek-Cypriot region. But, you can still get quiet restaurants in the narrow streets of the city.

There are the usual activities you would expect at a tourist destination, with the addition of golf, go-karting and hiking in the Troodos Mountains, the highest of which is Mount Olympus.
