FRANCE – PARIS
We won’t waffle on to much about the ubiquitous Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triumph or the Champs Élysée, these are must see’s if you haven’t ticked them off your list already.
Why not head straight for Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honor, a street lined with some of the world’s most luxurious and fashionable brands and shops in the world, immerse yourself in 5* cuisine, visit one of the Art Galleries or snap some selfies in front of the Élysée Palace.
BRITAIN – LONDON
You could spend your day visiting Buckingham Palace, take a stroll in St. James Park, tour Big Ben and Westminster Cathedral, head to Oxford Circus and shop your day away, get a bird’s eye view of this beautiful city on the London Eye or you could choose to head to Covent Garden, Camden Town and Shoreditch to experience some of the culture and relaxed vibes that this City holds.
Looking for a vibrant nightlife? Head to Brick Lane ( Near Liverpool Street) or make your way to Spitalfields Market, Choose Canary Wharf or Knightsbridge for a night out in much more stylish surroundings!
THE NETHERLANDS – AMSTERDAM
Amsterdam is known for its strong artistic heritage, It’s infamous Canal system and the famous Zaanse Schans (an Open Air Museum housing a cluster of 8 Windmills) are a living testimony to it’s famous Golden Era (17th Century). It has an area known as the Museum District which houses the Van Gogh Museum, famous art pieces by Rembrandt and Vermeer can be viewed at the Rijksmuseum;
If Modern Art is more your thing, head straight to the Stedelijk. Oh, we nearly forgot to mention, cycling is a huge part of Amsterdam’s culture/heritage and there are hundreds of cycle paths that weave in and out of this culture rich City – We strongly recommend hiring one and seeing the sites this way!
SPAIN – BARCELONA
Madrid is a city packed with elegant architecture and huge, extremely well tended parks such as the Buen Retiro. Also known for its large collection of european art, If this sounds like your cup of tea then visit the Prado Museum which is home to works by Goya, Velázquez and many other Spanish artists. Wonder around the portico-lined Plaza Mayor or head into the old city to feast yourself on some of Madrid’s finest cuisine.
PORTUGAL – LISBON
Perched on a hilly coastal landscape, Lisbon is a beautiful mix of olde worlde buildings with their terracotta roofs which eventually meets the much more modern architectural structures associated with much of Europe. Top must see sights include the somewhat imposing São Jorge Castle and the more modern Ponte 25 de Abril suspension bridge. If you are looking for a City with beaches within sneezing distance then Lisbon is definitely the city of choice for you!
POLAND – KRAKOW
Krakow, a vibrant city is located near to the Czech Republic border and is known for it’s well maintained medieval architecture – the city itself is built around the ancient, Rynek Glówny (market square). This huge plaza is the site of the Cloth Hall, an ancient trading point.
Explore the sights of the center of the old town and stroll over for photo’s in front of St. Mary’s Basilica, (a Gothic church dating back to the 1300’s.)
